According to the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there has been an increase in global prevalence of autism. While a significant part of this phenomenon can be attributed to improved public awareness and early detection systems, the reality today is that 1 out of every 36 children has autism. The situation necessitates a sincere call for society’s attention – a call to continuously enhance existing treatment techniques for children with autism, so that families are better equipped to live happy and healthy lives.
This was the call that European Wellness answered in November, when a delegation led by Group Chairman Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan was invited by China’s Hebei Provincial Government to a crucial exchange meeting in Hebei Provincial Children’s Hospital, entering insightful discussions with the Provincial Medical and Pharmaceutical Association.
Among those in attendance were Tao Limin, Vice President of the Hebei Pharmaceutical Industry Association as well its Vice President/Secretary-General Mao Yuming, in addition to several other esteemed experts and leaders, including Director of Department of Psychological Behaviour Wang Xia, Director of Haematology and Oncology Wang Li, Deputy Director of the International Liaison Office Yang Fan, Yanzhao Elderly Newspaper President Liu Xiaohong, and General Manager of Shijiazhuang Yongquan Technology Co., Ltd. Liu Li. Director of the Medical Department of the Provincial Children’s Hospital, Sun Yishou, presided over the symposium.
At the meeting, Director Sun Yishuo welcomed the delegation from European Wellness warmly, and explained how the efforts being discussed are paramount to safeguarding the future of the nation – by providing high-quality diagnostic and treatment services for children’s health across the province, the vision of a healthy China can be realised. Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan agreed, and re-affirmed European Wellness’s commitment to helping children with autism from all over the world, citing the significant efficacy of stem cell therapy in treating the disorder. Director Wang Xia expressed interest in technical discussions between the two sides, describing how a marriage between European Wellness’s cutting-edge treatment technologies and the authoritative knowledge on autism that the Provincial Children’s Hospital holds could unlock new ways to help children with autism.
