A ground-breaking study by a team of researchers from prestigious institutions, including University of California Irvine and European Wellness Biomedical Group (Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan and Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Michelle Wong), has brought hope to pets suffering from osteoarthritis—a common yet challenging condition to manage, particularly in dogs.
According to their research, Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy can significantly improve pain management and enhance mobility in dogs suffering from osteoarthritis. The results of the study, which involved 26 companion dogs treated with MSCs, are astonishing: over 80% reduction in pain and 77% increase in mobility, after just one month post-treatment!
This research not only highlights the potential of stem cell therapy as a safe and effective treatment for our aging canine companions but also opens up new avenues in veterinary medicine for managing chronic conditions without complications.
Imagine a world where our beloved pets can lead pain-free, happier lives as they age. 🐕🦺💖
