STEM CELLS, PEPTIDES & IMMUNOTHERAPY HANDBOOK ON REGENERATIVE MEDICINE FOR ANIMALS

Author: Prof. Dr. Mike K.S. Chan and Dr Marcel Gisain
Published by: Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London
Medical Research: ISBN: 9781803132099

Like a blank slate, stem cells are able to develop into any cell type. As a result of this property, stem cells offer the promise of regenerating tissue where disease has damaged it and caused it to lose function. For decades, researchers have promoted stem cells as a potential treatment for multiple types of illness. Doctors already use stem cells to treat human patients with lymphoma, leukaemia and other solid malignant tumours. We believe that pets can also get benefit from stem cell treatments for injuries to bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and the spinal cord; and diseases such as osteoarthritis.  Early research has shown that that stem cell treatment might successfully treat stomatitis (a severe and painful oral disease) in cats and dry eye in dogs. The process is as follows: stem cells are injected by a veterinarian into the affected tissue, such as a knee joint damaged by osteoarthritis. The stem cells move to the damaged or inflamed tissue, cause new tissue to grow, reduce the inflammation and relieve pain. This new tissue closely resembles the original tissue, in fact more so than the scar tissue that would typically grow in an untreated inflamed area.

Autism Spectrum Disorder: Bioregenerative Medicine With Stem Cell Therapy

Author: Prof. Dr. Mike K.S. Chan, Prof. Dr. Yuriy Nalapko, Dr. Svetlana Yartseva and Prof. Dr. Michelle B.F. Wong
Published by: EUROPEAN WELLNESS ACADEMY
Medical Research: ISBN: 9781662930034, eISBN: 9781662927492
Library of Congress Control Number: 2022941474

Autism Spectrum Disorder: Bioregenerative Medicine with Stem Cell Therapy is intended for a wide audience: parents of autistic children, regular and special education teachers, medical specialists, and for everybody who wants to learn about modern approaches to treat developmental diseases. This comprehensive monograph contains broad knowledge starting with a brief history of autism spectrum disorder, theories of occurrence and diagnosis, and reviewing modern behavioural, pharmacological, and bioregenerative therapeutic technologies.

Why is this book different? It is grounded in recent data related to new conceptualizations of the occurrence of autism spectrum disorder which consider autism a mitochondrial disease. Thus, the authors explain core concepts. What is a mitochondrion? How does its damage appear and correlate to the signs and symptoms of autism? What kind of bioregenerative therapies have great therapeutic potential? Almost all therapeutic methods for autism spectrum disorder are discussed from the point of view of the evidence based medicine.

Bioregenerative technology is based on the restoration of damaged subcellular structures like mitochondria and brain cell peptides. Bioregenerative antioxidant therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, transcranial magnetic/direct current stimulation, and mitochondrial organelles replacement therapy are key directions in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder.

Finally, new technology that holds high potential for the restoration of brain function is discussed—bioregenerative stem cell therapy. Because of the strong correlation between the symptoms of autism and changes in the brain, physicians have great tools to regulate such clinical symptoms through stem cell therapy. Most importantly, the authors have personal experience using the stem cell therapy with autism spectrum disorder patients. All facts are strongly supported by published scientific reviews and trials.

Autism Spectrum Disorder, Integrative Approach

Autism Spectrum Disorder, Integrative Approach

Autism is a mental and psychological developmental disorder with a pronounced deficit in emotional and communication skills. The word ‘Autism’ is defined as a person being withdrawn into themselves. A person with autism spectrum disorder never expresses their emotions, fails to gesture or speak to others, and their behaviour often lacks social meaning. Many parents are concerned about how to recognise their child has autism and at what age the condition first manifests.

Written in accessible language for parents of patients as well as medical staff, this book provides tests for identifying autism without medical training. The symptoms which constitute Autism Spectrum Disorder are described at great length. The approach to the individual’s condition is important. Autism is not an illness or even a diagnosis—it is a state of mind in which a person is ensconced in their own world. This book is based on an understanding of the person’s condition, offering comprehensive, holistic help to improve the condition and help the individual socialise and integrate into society.

Parents of children diagnosed with autism often ask their doctor—can the condition be cured? There is no cure for autism, but by using corrective methods, it is possible to significantly improve the person with autism state and help them adapt to the world as much as possible. Of course, parents must work closely with educators, medical providers, and routines over a long period of time but the results of these efforts can be monumental. Autism is not a sentence, it is a story.

To date, transfer factors hold promise as one of the most exciting discovery in immunology and disease prevention. As the 21st century unfolds, these small molecules represent an important key to human health and well-being. Transfer factors are material present in dialysable leukocyte extracts capable of transferring cell-mediated immunity to pathogens. Transfer factors from one immune donor can be introduced into a non-immune recipient, potentially delivering an improved ability to fight threats to the recipient’s health. Similar to vaccines, transfer factors are prophylactic when administered prior to exposure to a pathogen.

This book is an overview of basic immunology and the concept of transfer factors derived from past and current scientific publications. In this book, the properties, mechanism of action, and clinical applications of transfer factors are described. Since their discovery, evidence suggests transfer factors play an important role as immune modulators in treating diseases associated with the defective function of cell-mediated immunity such as cancer, infectious diseases, etc.

The MF Plus Super Transfer Factor is then introduced including its function, characteristics, course, mode of administration, and advantages. The conclusion compiles research papers of transfer factor from years 2009 to 2020.

This book will interest researchers and scientists in fields such as immunology, molecular medicine, biomedicine, immunotherapy, pathology, microbiology, and oncology.

The success of transplantation to treat human diseases has greatly increased the demand for organs and tissues. Xenotransplantation, the use of animals as donors, is viewed increasingly as a solution to this problem. The pig-to-NHP model has become the standard for preclinical studies of cell and tissue xenotransplantation prior to starting a clinical trial.

This is A Compilation of Cell and Tissue Xenotransplantation Studies (1838-2022): A Promising Approach for the Treatment of Diseases and a collection of reminiscences by surgeons and scientists who made significant research contributions toward achieving successful transplantation of animal cells and tissues into humans. It records the works of the world’s leading researchers in this field which will impact the future medical care of patients with diabetes, liver failure, neurodegenerative disorders, corneal blindness, etc.

It also provides a comprehensive overview of applications of cellular and tissue xenotransplantation for a range of diseases especially those that result from tissue loss or dysfunction. The importance of the decellularization technique in animal tissues and organs as implantable biomaterials in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering is also highlighted.

Essential reading for physicians, scientists, and lay persons with an interest in xenotransplantation; those caring for patients with life-threatening diseases; and also those interested in understanding the potential of genetic and tissue engineering in science and medicine. This book charts a historical record of the research which has contributed to the advancement of medicine called “the next great medical revolution.” Many believe we are on the threshold of clinical trials using genetically modified animals as organ donors. Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis – Practical Comprehensive Essentials

A book by Prof. Dr. Mike K.S. Chan and Dr. Dina Tulina
Published by Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London – Medical Research: ISBN 9781803131184

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a progressive neurological disease that affects millions of people worldwide. Currently, the causes of MS are still unclear and the cure of MS remains symptomatic, while the effectiveness of treatment varies widely among individuals. The clinical features and neurological defects derived from this progressive neurological disease are diverse since MS may affect the human central nervous system (CNS) at all levels from the brain to hen end of the spinal cord. Immunopathogenesis of MS involves many steps, including activation of peripheral leucocytes against putative CNS antigens, activated leucocytes with inflamed cerebral endothelial cells, the migration of activated  lymphocytes and macrophages through the endothelium to the CNS environment, and further propagation of a massive immune response within the CNS, Such large-scale immune activation leads to loss of the myelin-oligodendrocyte complex. Various types of immune cells and mediators of the immune-inflammatory response actively contribute to the pathogenesis of MS. Genetic factors are also thought to play a central role in the development of most forms of MS. Axonal degeneration and neuronal loss are the core components of irreversible and permanent CNS atrophy and disability in MS.

This book provides a comprehensive overview of the current MS situation as researchers try to understand the process and develop treatments that can slow or stop the disease, possible repair the damage, alleviate specified symptoms, and improve the abilities of MS patients to function in everyday life. Various biological holistic approaches have been shown to slow disease progression in some patients, and the recovery rate of cellular mechanism in the brain and spinal cord has been accelerated, increasing the possibility of achieving complete balance of the disease state.

The panels review the background, focusing on novel strategies that are most likely to understand the biological mechanism of recovery and translate findings into alternative comprehensive approach to the MS management. The modality of such complementary therapies adds a new dimension, geared to further improvement in the management and sustain the acquired long-term results of MS. This books will necessary to MS researchers, research funder, healthcare advocate MS research and treatment, and interested patients and their families.

STEM CELLS IN REGENERATIVE MEDICINE:
CARPE DIEM– CARPE VITAM!

Published by Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London – Medical Research: ISBN 978 1838590 116
Author/s: Prof. Dr. Mike Chan and Prof. Dr. Dmitry Klokol

In most of the doctors’ perception the term ‘regenerative medicine’ is associated with tissue reconstruction after severe injuries, burns or trauma. And that is absolutely correct except the fact that tissues and organs deteriorate and lose their function not only due to mechanical or physical damage, but as a result of chronic diseases, inflammation, age-related degeneration as well as genetic abnormalities and cellular dysfunction. The profound understanding of tissue morphology on the cellular level and studying of the ontogenesis open magnificent opportunities to restoration of structural and functional integrity of human organism.

Throughout centuries scientists and healthcare practitioners were in a constant pursuit of longevity—from Avicenna and Paracelsus to Brown-Sequad, Serge Voronoff and Paul Niehans. Not so long ago, in 1990’s, when the term regenerative medicine was tailored by Dr. Leland Kaiser and propagated by William Haseltine it was considered to be a medicine of the Future, «a new branch of medicine will develop that attempts to change the course of chronic disease and in many instances will regenerate tired and failing organ systems», as Dr. Leland Kaiser described it. A new hope spurred up that almost any condition can be at least improved if not cured by means of regenerative medicine, including those cases where conventional medicine is powerless or ineffective.

The Future Dr. Kaiser was talking about is certainly a Present today. Though relatively small amount of practitioners are aware of today’s regenerative medicine capabilities and many still consider it more like science fiction.

This book reveals concepts and protocols of successful approach to regenerative medicine by means of stem cell therapy. It also highlights important aspects of manufacturing and culturing of cell therapy products and administration of different types of stem cells in various systemic disorders.

A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO BIOLOGICAL MEDICINE AND WELLNESS

Published by Matador, Troubador.co.uk, London.Medical Research: ISBN 978 1789015 249
Author/s: Prof. Dr. Mike Chan and Prof. Dr. Dmitry Klokol

With the arise of chronic, age and lifestyle-related illnesses, overwhelming stress, toxins and pollution, the society began to value more aspects of personal health than mere physical symptoms – the balance and harmony of mind, spirit and body. The society came to realization that it is not enough to eliminate the symptoms of the disease or even to treat the core of the illness. In most of the cases, the end of hospital treatment of the disease is only the beginning of the actual struggle for the patient. Whatever considered to be an accomplished mission from the point of view of medical protocol is only the beginning of the battle for the patient, which he, often left alone, not necessarily wins.

Our experience in research and practice in various parts of Europe and Asia has brought us to conclusion that best definition for the term “biological medicine” is – “common sense medicine”. These therapeutic paradigms are developed, employed and practiced by European Wellness Centers (EWC) – a global network of institutions tied up by the concept of European Biological Wellness. Our philosophy does not support mechanistic approach to the patient but encourages holistic care, promotes therapies stimulating healing and regeneration, and puts wellness as a corner stone of the intended outcomes. Another two integral components of Biological Wellness are maximal safety of the therapeutic modalities and its compatibility with conventional medicine.

Therapeutic paradigms of European Wellness are built on the platform of classical medicine taught and practiced all over Europe. Years spent on gaining experience and collaborating with most prominent European doctors and precise selection of fine treatment modalities from certain Asian traditional medical systems allowed us to formulate a unique system of Biological Wellness that to our knowledge does not have analogues up to date. The core of European Biological Wellness contains principles of biological medicine, which states that the human body is inherently capable of self-healing, and these abilities depend on anatomical, physiological, mental and spiritual balance. Once any component of this integral system is compromised, the occurring imbalance results in the development of disease. While conventional medicine predominantly identifies and emphasizes on symptoms and certain links of pathogenesis, our way of biological wellness, addresses the underlying causes of disease and acts concurrently with any existing treatment, modulates and balances the entire organism and directs it to effective healing and recovery.

The main objective of the book is to offer to the medical community effective holistic diagnosis, detoxification, biological repair and rejuvenation based on the individual needs of the persons and taking into consideration the health status and medical conditions. The book also provides specialized Biological wellness, recovery, and performance enhancement programs for athletes, elderly people, individuals with various untreatable illnesses and congenital disorders with the purpose of improving their general condition and facilitating their primary treatment.
